In the 3-4 page Evaluation Paper, I’m asking you to use The Dolls house by Henrik Ibsen and The Yellow Wall Paper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman and evaluate them. Start with a strong set of criteria (preferably three) and then go into detail about how each item meets those criteria, and finally declare which is better (or if both are good, perhaps declare which is better at each criterion).
Your thesis statement should make clear what your criteria are and which of the two items you compare is best. Be sure to include an outside source for each of your two items to assist in your evaluation. This might be a literature review, an analysis, or a critical response, for instance. You might also choose to use a biographical work on the author. A Works Cited page will be necessary, as will in-text citations for any borrowed material (including paraphrasing!). Borrowed material should account for a minority of the paper—the primary voice must be your own.
